- About the company
- William Chin is Managing Director at SGX Group. He leads both the Commodities and Rates businesses that underpins the fastest growing pillars at SGX Group. This includes oversight of SGX investments in commodities and the Energy Market Company that powers Singapore’s wholesale electricity market. William joined SGX Group in 2015 with a background in trading and risk management. He began his career in the New Zealand financial markets as a rates trader for ANZ investment bank in Wellington before joining Barclays Capital in London, and later on as Head of Commodities and Energy Risk at the London Clearing House. Prior to SGX Group, he was Head of LME Asia in Singapore. William serves on a number of boards and trading committees of Commodities-related companies across the agricultural, metals and logistics industries. He graduated with a Masters degree in Applied Finance from the Victoria University of Wellington. He is a CFA charterholder and attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
